Surgery and anesthesia can be a very stressful time for pet owners.  During surgery/anesthesia we closely monitor our patients with state of the art equipment that measures ECG, pulse oximetry, blood pressure, CO2, temperature, and respiratory rate.  Each patient is also manually monitored by a highly trained and skilled technician.  After each patient is recovered from surgery he/she is taken back to their cage.
